The VirtualDose family of products is used to calculate the dose to the patient resulting from a wide variety of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. The results are based on a family of realistic computational phantoms and a large database of Monte Carlo simulation output. Dose to individual organs are generated, along with the effective dose computed following either ICRP 60 or ICRP 103 standards.

VirtualDoseCT

VirtualDoseCT provides results for any type of computed tomography scan. A number of standard scan ranges are built-in, and exact upper and lower bounds are selectable with anatomical markers and cross-sectional images to assist.

VirtualDoseIR

VirtualDoseIR is used to represent a wide variety of procedures performed in Interventional Radiology, the cardiac catheterization lab, or other fluoroscopy settings. Multiple exposures can be aggregated to provide a total dose for the procedure.

VirtualDoseDX

VirtualDoseDX simulates many common diagnostic radiographic procedures. Default anatomic ranges and exposure parameters are provided for each exam, and are fully customizable.
